MALAYBALAY CITY (BukidnonNews.net/ 07 June 2025)—School heads manned the kitchens to feed the 800-strong Northern Mindanao delegation of the 2025 Palarong Pambansa.
Principals and other heads from the Division of Misamis Occidental were the ones making meals for the athletes, coaches, and other members of the technical working group.
The Department of Education Region 10 online page honored them as “unsung heroes behind every well-fed Normin delegate.”
“Waking up before sunrise and still working late at night, these hardworking people cook meals every day by the hundred,” their tribute reads.
They added that their mess hall does not only have nourishing meals but also a “sense of home away from home.”
Several athletes and their parents took to social media to express their gratitude.
“Thank you Ma’ams and Sirs, for the love and care you’ve given us….from Volleyball E/B.”
“Salamat kaayu mga mam and sir sa paghanda og food sa mga athletes labi na sa akong anak nga dra. Salute sa inyoha po.” 🙏🏻 (Thank you so much madams and sirs for preparing food for the athletes, especially my child. I salute you all.)
