MARAMAG (BukidnonNews.net/ 24 August 2025) – The motorist earlier reported missing in last Thursday’s accident in Maramag has been found dead, authorities confirmed.

Police identified Jemar Selao, a resident of Purok 20, Butong in Quezon, who was earlier tagged as the owner of the Bajaj motorcycle that crashed on August 21 at around 9:45 p.m. near the bridge in North Poblacion, Maramag.

Initial investigation by the Maramag Police showed that the motorcycle, without a plate number, lost control while traversing the road towards Quezon, leaving skid marks at the scene. Responding personnel found only the motorcycle, with the rider missing.

At around 3 p.m. on August 23, Selao’s body was recovered at Purok 8, Barangay Camp 1 in Maramag. Authorities said he sustained a major head injury, which is believed to have caused his death.

Selao’s wife, Roxan Sulatan Selao, earlier appealed on social media for help in locating her husband, as she and their children had been waiting for him to return home. He was reportedly employed as a worker at Del Monte Corp. in Don Carlos.

Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the crash.
