Voters in precinct No. 147 in Sumpong Elementary School in Malaybalay City complained against alleged shortage of ballots in the precinct. The family of “A.K” a first time voter reported that they have been made to wait for two hours before they were told that they can cast their vote in another precinct in the same polling place.

They said the last to cast their vote in the precinct cluster was at around 2:30p.m. They were able to vote only around 5p.m.

The voter relayed a recording of a discussion between the voters in the lobby of the precinct and an unidentified election official about the formers’ need for assurance that if they vote in another precinct their votes can be accounted for. The official explained that the ACM will read the votes and it will be indicated in the receipt. He assured the voters about it and noted that the election board will document the proceedings. The voters expressed fear that their votes might be voided as they were supposed to use ballots in their original precinct and feed it in the automated counting machine there.

“It will be useless, then,” a vocal voter said. (Photo grabbed from a video recording provided to BukidnonNews.Net)
