MALAYBALAY CITY (BukidnonNews.Net / May 14, 2026) — The Roman Catholic Diocese of Malaybalay San Isidro Labrador Cathedral Parish opened the 2026 fiesta celebration in honor of ita patron San Isidro Labrador with a series of liturgical activities, novena masses, confession schedules, and community gatherings from May 6 to 15.

This year’s fiesta activities were organized by the parish and its Media Ministry under the theme “Kapistahan ni San Isidro Labrador,” highlighting devotion to the patron saint of farmers and thanksgiving for blessings and harvests.

The celebration began on May 6 with confession and novena masses led by different priests from the Diocese of Malaybalay. Daily novena masses continued until May 14, with special activities including the “Dagan Para Kay San Isidro” fun run on May 9 and a mass wedding on May 11 presided over by Msgr. Cirilo Sajelan and Fr. Arnulfo Paña.

On May 14, the parish scheduled a 9 a.m. Mass and Baptism rites presided over by Fr. Leonardo Adaptar together with Rev. Jay Mark Villarias and Rev. Azerrtizo Paraiso. An evening novena mass followed at 5:30 p.m. with Fr. Jomar Paradero as presider.

The fiesta day on May 15 will begin with a 4 a.m. “Diana” by the RTO United Band, followed by the 6 a.m. fiesta mass and procession presided over by Msgr. Cirilo Sajelan.

A solemn high mass is set at 9 a.m. with Bishop Noel Pedregosa, D.D., while another fiesta mass at 5:30 p.m. will be presided over by Bishop Jose Manguiran, D.D. (BukidnonNews.Net)
