MALAYBALAY CITY (BukidnonNews.Net) In a move to elevate restrictions due to the spread of COVID-19, Gov. Jose Ma. R. Zubiri Jr ordered that only residents and a list of few exemptions will be allowed to enter the Province of Bukidnon effective 12:01 a.m. on March 21.

The governor said the move is to strengthen the on-going community quarantine implemented in the province since March 17, 2020 - to prevent the spread of the virus.

Exempted from the entry ban are health workers attending to the emergency situation, employees and officials traveling in relation to anti-COVID-19 response, personnel and organizations doing humanitarian work, personnel transporting supply of necessities, including food and medical supplies and employees and officials of the province with official travel.

Zubiri placed the province on "general community quarantine" effective 10 p.m. of March 17 to “prevent the spread and contain the transmission” of COVID-1. He issued Executive Order 2020-13 only to revise it in his March 20 order locking down the province from non-residents.
