SF, Impasug-ong under Orange, rest of Bukidnon in Yellow Rainfall signals
MALAYBALAY CITY (BukidnonNews.Net/11 January 2023) Two of Bukidnon’s 20 towns have been included in areas issued with Orange rainfall warning while the rest of Bukidnon is under Yellow warning level, according to Pagasa weather bureau, Wednesday night.
Pagasa placed Impasug-ong and San Fernando towns along with Claveria and Gingoog City in Misamis Oriental and Zamboanga City, Lanao del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, and Zamboanga Sibugay under Orange Rainfall Warning due to the current low pressure area and shearline weather systems, the Pagasa 8:40p.m. update said.
This means communities were expected to prepare as flooding is threatening in low lying areas and landslides in mountainous areas are expected.
Placed under Red rainfall warning level, where serious flooding is expected in low-lying areas and landslides, are Misamis Occidental and Zamboanga del Norte.
In areas placed under yellow warning, flooding is considered possible in low-lying areas and LANDSLIDES in mountainous areas. (BukidnonNews.Net)
