Malaybalay City has new Fire Station building

MALAYBALAY CITY (22 July 2020) Local government and fire protection officials inaugurated on July 15 the new three-level fire station building of the city.

The fire station is located inside the government compound (adjacent to the Malaybalay City Police Station) in Brgy. 2. The Bureau of Fire Protection will vacate its current location in Melendez St, Barangay 4.

Fire Senior Supt. Carlos T. Dueñas, caretaker of BFP Regional Office 10 led BFP officials during the blessing and turnover ceremony. Malaybalay City Councilors Kathleen Cecille C. Pagaling, Cromwell Kiril Dinlayan, Niko Aldeguer and Erwin Damasco also graced the rites.

Fire Sr. Insp. Llloyd Villaroya, City Fire Marshall, cited that the city government provided the lot and allocated P8 million for the building. The BFP national office, he added, has allocated P2.5 million for the project. (Mel B. Madera)
