MALAYBALAY CITY (12 August 2020) – Valencia City Mayor Azucena Huervas has lifted the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) status for Iglesia sa Dios Espiritu Santo Compound at Purok 2 in Brgy. Lumbo.

The executive order issued on August 3 also reverted its status back to Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ).

On July 20, Huervas declared the said compound as a “critical zone” after two of its residents tested positive for COVID-19. A 500-meter radius containment zone was placed around the compound, limiting the entry and exit of residents in Purok 2.

Region 10 Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (R10 IATF-MEID) concurred the said declaration on July 22 per resolution no. 26, series of 2020.

The Final Health Monitoring Report stated that no individual within the designated zones manifested flu-like symptoms since the start of the declaration of the EO 49 until August 3.

This was reported by the Disease Surveillance Unit of the City Health Office (CHO), Human Resource for Health-DOH, Purok Leader, Barangay Health Workers and Barangay Midwives of Lumbo headed by their Barangay Chairman Rogelio Hera, Jr. (Mel B. Madera)
