IN PHOTO: Workers found body of 1 of 5 persons buried in Malitbog landslide

Operatives recovered on October 18 the body of Vincent Jordan Achas, one of the five persons who were buried due to a landslide in Sitio Mabuhay, Brgy. San Luis, Malitbog, Bukidnon about lunch time on October 17, Monday.

According to the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) the retrieval operations continue as of October 19, 2022. 

Achas and two others were government personnel under the local engineering office tasked to clear a road from mud brought by the landslide in the village. Two other victims, a couple were also buried alive.
