Couple abducted, slain in Quezon

MALAYBALAY CITY ( 20 February 2020) – A couple from Valencia City were abducted and killed at OADI, Brgy. San Jose, Quezon town, February 12.

According to a Bukidnon provincial police report, Mary Grace Amarillo sustained multiple stab and hack wounds while her husband Wilfredo Amarillo died of multiple gunshot wounds.

A local resident reportedly saw Mrs. Amarillo by the roadside asking for help.

Before she died at the hospital, Mrs. Amarillo was able to disclose that they were abducted by unidentified men from their residence in Brgy. Lilingayon, Valencia City and brought to Quezon aboard a pick-up.

Her husband was found dead at the sugarcane plantation around 100 meters away from her location. The incident happened at around 5:30 a.m., February 12.

Fired cartridge cases of a 12-gauge gun and a 9mm-caliber pistol, a black cable tie, and a holster were recovered from the scene.

Police Lt. Col. Silvestre Asiong Jr., Bukidnon police information officer, said on Feb. 14 that the Criminal Detection and Investigation Group (CIDG) and Quezon police are now coordinating to resolve the case.
