MALAYBALAY CITY ( 09 April 2020)—A sticker-based color-coding scheme for vehicles is now being imposed throughout Northern Mindanao, police official say.

P/ Lt. Col. Mardie Hortillosa, spokesperson for the Police Regional Office-10, said this will hasten vehicle inspections and traffic flow in the quarantine checkpoints.

Red stickers are tagged to vehicles carrying persons under investigation for COVID-19. Blue are given to those who are cleared of the virus and are authorized to travel within designated areas and white stickers are tagged to those who are not advised to travel within their locality.

Hortillosa said the scheme still needs fine-tuning as they have received various complaints from motorists of Misamis Oriental and Misamis Occidental.

As of April 2, there are currently 57 quarantine checkpoints in the region established in the borders of towns and cities.
