Catholic group starts 24/7 prayer movement vs COVID-19

MALAYBALAY CITY ( 24 March 2020)—The Catholic group Ang Lingkod ng Panginoon (ALNP) in Northern Mindanao has launched a 24/7 prayer movement to fight the threat of coronavirus.

This was confirmed by the city’s branch leader Richard Casanos, saying they will fight COVID-19 by praying the rosary and the oratio imperata.

The region’s Ang Lingkod, a movement of young Catholic professionals in the country, has assigned 30-minute daily prayer schedules for each member.

Casanos also asked members to invite their friends, families, workmates, and classmates to join in this effort.

Based on March 24 DOH-10 briefer, Bukidnon has 57 persons under investigation and 480 under monitoring for coronavirus. The entire Northern Mindanao has recorded a total of 219 PUIs and 3,817 PUMs.
