Buseco, MCWD-Prime Water invited to City Council over power outages, water interruptions
MALAYBALAY CITY (BukidnonNews.Net/20 July 2022) The Malaybalay City Council has called the management of the Bukidnon Second Electric Cooperative and the Malaybalay City Water District – Prime Water to the regular session next week for updates on local public utilities.
The appearance of the top management of both public utilities were called based on the motion of City Councilor Melchor Maramara on accounts of current power outages and water interruptions in the city.
“Why are the recent power outages happening? … We have to hear from them,” he told the session.
Requested to be around next week were the general manager and the board of director member from Malaybalay City of Buseco and the general managers of MCWD and Prime Water.
He also asked to include Mr. Tomas Taga of the Malaybalay City Government Water Supply System to be present to hear updates about the city water supply.
City Councilor Bonifacio Valiente also requested that MCWD-Prime Water to provide the City Council with update of the status of their water pipe repair in the barangays.
Vice Mayor Estelito Marabe clarified that MCWD-Prime Water would be called to provide the city council with updates on all programs and operations of MCWD concerning the city (BukidnonNews.Net)
