BukSU to proceed with enrollment, class opening

MALAYBALAY CITY (19 July 2020)  Bukidnon State University’s president has issued a memorandum on July 16 presenting the university’s schedule for enrollment and opening of the classes of the First Semester Academic Year 2020-2021, according to its website  

Dr. Oscar B. Cabanelez, University President, issued Memorandum No.092 series of 2020, in light of the national and local governments’ regulations, the Commission on Higher Education’s (CHED) latest advisories (6 & 7) and the approval of the Board of Regents.

But the president reiterated that no face to face classes shall be conducted until the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) advises so. BukSU scheduled to open classes on August 24.

To ensure the health and safety of BukSU personnel and students, the enrollment process shall be made online via

Dr. Cabańelez noted, as quoted in the website report, that students who cannot access the online portal will be accommodated for onsite enrollment but physical distancing and other health protocols will be strictly observed.

Based on the memorandum, the following schedule of enrollment and opening of 1st Semester, will apply:

July 20 – 31, 2020 – Pre-enrollment in the Graduate and Undergraduate Levels
July 20, 2020 – College of Law Enrollment
July 20-24, 2020 – Elementary School laboratory (ESL) and Secondary School
Laboratory (SSL) Enrollment

July 27, 2020 – First Day of Flexible Learning Classes of the College of Law
August 3 – 7, 2020 – Information Drive on the Undergraduate and Graduate levels Online Enrollment Process and Education Delivery Mode

August 10 – 20, 2020 – Enrollment in Undergraduate and Graduate Levels
August 24, 2020 – First Day of Classes in all Levels following the Flexible
