BukSU honors retiree Dr. Oscar B. Cabañelez, 2nd University President
Bukidnon State University paid fitting honors to its 2nd University President, Dr. Oscar B. Cabañelez, whose retirement took effect on October 21, 2022. The university offered two days of official tribute, on November 3 for the main campus and on November 4 for the satellite campuses for the 66-year old university president who climbed through the university's corporate ladder in his 45 years of civil service.
"Dr. Oca" started as a grade school teacher, elementary school principal, dean, and vice president for two areas before he was elected as University President in 2015. The university dubbed the tribute as "Celebrating the Legacy of Excel-lience, A Tribute to Dr. Oscar B. Cabañelez for espousing a humble, excellent, and resilient leadership in the Level 3 state university. In photo, BukSU's current three vice presidents Mr. Dante S. Victoria Jr, Dr. Hazel Jean M.
