Bukidnon still tops COVID-19 charts in NorthMin

MALAYBALAY CITY (BukidnonNews.Net/08 February 2022) Bukidnon still has the highest number of active COVID-19 cases with 4,002 outpatient cases out of the region’s 12,183 cases, based on the February 8, 2022 COVID-19 briefer of the Department of Health-10 Regional Epidemiology Surveillance and Disaster Response Unit.

For the first time in a number of days, Bukidnon also reported four admitted cases. The region accounts 43 total number of admitted cases with the highest reported in Cagayan de Oro at 23 cases. Camiguin, Misamis Occidental, and Iligan remained to have zero admitted cases.  

Cagayan de Oro, which has been reporting the highest number of active COVID 19 cases in weeks, reported a total of 3,577 outpatient cases.

Of the total of 485 recovered cases of COVID-19 in Northern Mindanao, 209 were reported from Bukidnon, the highest in number.

This is the highest number in the region today. A total of 155 recovered from Misamis Oriental and 88 from Cagayan de Oro City.

Among the Northern Mindanao provinces and big cities, however, the province also owns the highest number of new cases. The DOH-10 recorded a total of 177 new cases with 64 reported from Bukidnon on February 8, 2022. Cagayan de Oro City owned 35 cases while Misamis Oriental has a share of only 12 new cases.

The report cited that one died of COVID-19 in Cagayan de Oro on the same day. 

The COVID cases, however, shrunk compared to those reported in previous weeks.

The 177-mark today is among the lowest in the 30-day comparative chart of DOH-10. It is close to the 175 cases reported on January 12, 2022. The highest in the last 30 days was reported on January 28, 2022 with 1172 new cases in a single day.  The lowest number was reported on January 10 with 36 cases region-wide. (BukidnonNews.Net)
