SIMAYA, Malaybalay City (BukidnonNews.Net/02 April 2021) A local 2000-square-meter-Airsoft Gamesite here is a new hype in Bukidnon for sports and recreation.

The Outpost - Airsoft Gamesite, located at Sitio Binalbagan, this barangay is said to be the province’s first gamesite with an airsoft rifle rental for up to 10 persons or two teams at a time.

Glydelle Kate, 25, and a co-owner were inspired to make their own gamesite upon witnessing the milestones of Delta Force Airsoft Gamesite in General Santos City.

"I am fascinated with this game from the first time I experienced it. So, I thought of bringing this to my homeland by procuring the toy rifles first," Glydelle said.

For 250 pesos per person, the customers can enjoy the gamesite and the airsoft rifles with the protection of tactical mask and vest. The players are encouraged to bring their own thick pants and jackets.

Bukidnon Airsoft Division (B.A.D), a proud member of Pwersa Mindanao Airsofters and One Airsoft Pilipinas enjoyed the gamesite on March 21, 2021.

Norman Vincent Robles, Media and Communications Officer of B.A.D said via an online interview that The Outpost, styled as a close quarters combat offers a different kind of gameplay which is full of action within 3 minutes compared to the jungle type which usually lasts for 1-3 hours of gameplay.

According to the group, the game becomes more interesting by following a set of rules. Among the ones on top are prioritizing “Love”, “Safety” and “Honesty”. He added that among the three, the third one is the hardest to follow but if adrenaline or ego gets in the way, everybody must go back to the first rule.

“We don’t want to ruin the love of airsoft by allowing hate and fear among us,” Robles said.

B.A.D is an active and growing community of airsoft players since 2018 which promotes airsoft hobby to the public and encourages anybody interested to reach them through their Facebook page.

The outpost promotes health safety by providing an avenue for airsoft enthusiasts to have an option in the locality instead of travelling outside the province.

In observance of health protocols, the establishment disinfects the game site every after game. They said they also require prior booking to manage arrival of gamers.

The Outpost opened on March 18, 2021. (Rashia Mae Deva Paano/Contributor)
