UPDATED: Valencia City institutionalizes ‘night market’

(Our Apologies. City Councilor Murillo’s first name is Policarpo, not Policarpio, as we earlier reported. We made the correction in this update. Thanks. – Bukidnon News)

VALENCIA CITY (Bukidnon News/20 February) The Valencia City council passed a resolution Tuesday institutionalizing weekend night market in the premises surrounding the new Valencia Public Market.

The night market, expected to boost tourism and economic industries of the city, will be held during Friday and Saturday nights.

“It is also an avenue to showcase local products from different barangays, as the city will accommodate the One Town/One Barangay Product program,” said City Councilor Policarpo Murillo.

The area will be closed for the night market from 5p.m. to 1a.m.
