‘Zero reports’ of firecracker casualties in Bukidnon for Christmas

Bukidnon-News.Net-official-logo4MALAYBALAY CITY (Bukidnon News.Net/26 December) Police and hospital sources said zero casualties were reported so far on pyrotechnics incidents and related incidents as of December 26.

P03 Romando Sambile, firearms non-commissioned officer of the Bukidnon Provincial Police Office, said based on reports from the police stations in 20 towns and two cities; Bukidnon has no casualty as of 4p.m.

He said the reports from police stations have already arrived but there were no incidents related to firecrackers and other related incidents.

The Malaybalay Emergency Response Unit (MERU) also reported having received and responded to any pyro-technics related incident since morning of December 25.

Engr. Sony Dabe Belderol, MERU chief, said they received and responded to only one incident related to firecrackers last year. He said only one incident was also reported to them in the anticipation of the new year last year.

Lanie Sugi, an admission officer at the Bukidnon Provincial Medical Center said they had admitted no patient related to pyro technics related incidents so far.

The Bureau of Fire Protection in Malaybalay City also received no reports of fire related to pyro technics, according to Fire Officer Aldren Paul Ronolo via telephone.  (Walter I. Balane/Bukidnon News)
