3 Bukidnon Runners in Top 10 of Milo Marathon PH Finals

MALAYBALAY CITY  (Bukidnon News.Net/13 December) Three runners from Bukidnon finished Top 10 in the Local Category of the 36th Milo Marathon Finals held in SM MOA Grounds, Pasay City last Sunday, December 9, 2012.

Facing fierce competition from elite runners coming from all over the country, including some members of the Philippine National Team, cousins Juniel and Richeel Languido and Jemarvin Cabillan showcased exceptional speed and endurance to emerge among the top placers of the race.

Juniel Languido finished the 42-kilometer distance at 2:36:54 to placed 7th in the local category won by National Team runner and Philippine record holder Eduardo Buenavista. Jemarvin Cabillan came in at 2:47:25 to place 9th while Languido’s younger cousin Richeel followed less than a minute later to grab the 10th place.

The two Languidos worked for DOLE North Skyland in Malaybalay while Cabillan is a member of Team Unifrutti based in Lantapan. The three runners each won P10, 000 plus a medal for their feats. (Contributed to Bukidnon News.Net by Earl E. Bolivar)
