Higaonon Amay Mantangkilang Cumatang: 1st Asian to win Darryl Posey Award

MALAYBALAY CITY – Higaonon tribal leader Amay Mantangkilan Cumatang of the Agtulawon, Mintapod, Higaonon Cumadon (Agmihicu) ancestral domain of the Higaonons in Impasug-ong town Bukidnon, receives the plague signifying the Darryl Posey Fellowship fellowship, from Mary Stockdale of the International Society of Ethnobiology on October 24, 2012 at the Garden, Malaybalay City. Cumatang, the fourth recipient of the two-year fellowship, is the first Asian to receive the award.
