March 10, a special non-working day in Bukidnon

MALAYBALAY CITY  – President Benigno S. Aquino III declares March 10, 2012, a Saturday as a special non-working day in the Province of Bukidnon in line with the celebration of the 95th Foundation Day of the province.

By way of Proclamation No. 346 signed by Executive Secretary Pacquito N. Ochoa, Jr. on February 28, President Aquino released the declaration to give the people of the Bukidnon province opportunity to celebrate and have time to participate in the prepared ceremonies for that occasion.

In line also with the declaration, Bukidnon Governor Alex “Boy” P. Calingasan also released Memorandum Number 868 series of 2012, directing all Chiefs of Office and the government workforce in Bukidnon to attend the 95th Foundation Day Civic Parade on this same day, wearing the colors and ethnic attires of the province. The parade will start at 6am at Sayre Highway-C.M. Recto Street, Barangay Sumpong, in the City of Malaybalay.

Bukidnon, as it may be recalled, was founded in accordance with the Act 2711 (Revised Administrative Code of 1917) on Marso 10, 1917. (Bukidnon News)
