MALAYBALAY CITY (Bukidnon News/11 July) The Bureau of Fire Protection estimated roughly P3 million damage as fire destroyed a combination of 10 establishments and houses along the main street of Quezon town proper on July 10.

No one was reported injured in the two-hour incident, which the BFP declared “under control” by 4p.m.

Provincial Fire Marshall CINSP Allan A. Cabot told Bukidnon News via telephone seven fire trucks, Kibawe, Dangcagan, Kitao-tao, Don Carlos, Maramag, Valencia and Quezon responded to the area as the fire alarm was raised to level 3.

The National Power Corporation, BUSCO Sugar Milling Company and Crystal Sugar Milling Company sent teams to help stop the fire.

Cabot could not tell the cause of the fire yet as of July 11. Initial investigation showed that the fire started at a house owned by Bobby Colonia.

Fire hindered traffic along the main street causing a detour among motorists.(Iyren Dalipe, with a report/Bukidnon News.Net)
