SP seeks inclusion of Bamboo among Bukidnon’s priority crafts 

MALAYBALAY CITY (Bukidnon News.Net/09 August 2017) The Sangguniang Panlalawigan or SP plans to include Bamboo and Wood Crafting in the Priority Livelihood programs in the province as discussed during the 53rd regular session on August 8, 2017.

Following the resolution no. 163-2017 (13th SP) introduced by 3rd District Board Member Gordon M. Torres, the members of the SP are requesting Romel O. Atrigenio, Provincial livelihood Officer-Designate for the inclusion of Bamboo and Wood crafting in their priority livelihood programs in the province.

As stated in the resolution, Bamboo grass is a fast-growing, cheap and abundant in the province of Bukidnon wherein it offers wide array of uses. Bukidnon on one hand, is an agriculture based area majorly surrounded with trees and if properly utilized, can be an income generation to residents.

With this, the inclusion of this area of livelihood to the priority programs would greatly benefit the people in Bukidnon. (BukidnonNews.Net)
