Malaybalay can use two more water sources – consultant

MALAYBALAY CITY (BukidnonNews.Net/16 August 2017) A consultant of the city government said Malaybalay can use two more water sources, the Malalot and Kulasihan creeks in the future.

Engineer Senen S. Dizon, an environmental consultant of water supply engineering and operations, told the city council of Malaybalay City during their August 15, 2017 session the two possible sources can produce a total of approximately 40,000 cubic meters of water per day.

Dizon told city councilors Malalot Creek in Barangay Kibalabag can produce 21,000 cubic meters of water per day. On the other hand, Kulasihan Creek in Lantapan town can produce 19,000 cubic meters of water supply per day.

He added that a thousand cubic meters of water can support 10,000 households.

Malaybalay City Mayor Ignacio W. Zubiri welcomed the possibility as he has seen the shortage of water that the city experienced. (BukidnonNews.Net)
