5.0 magnitude quake hits Bukidnon

MALAYBALAY CITY (BukidnonNews.Net/07 August 2017) A 5.0 magnitude quake was felt in the province of Bukidnon on August 5, 2017 as reported by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology or PHIVOLCS.

According to the latest report of PHIVOLCS, the earthquake with its epicenter located at Valencia City, was felt in many areas of the province around 3:39 in the afternoon of Saturday.

With this, reported intensities included Valencia City with Intensity V, Intensity IV in Malaybalay City and Maramag, Bukidnon, Intensity III in Cagayan de Oro City and Kidapawan City, Intensity II in Kalilangan, Bukidnon and Intensity I in Mambajao, Camiguin.

There were reported minor damages in houses and government buildings in Lantapan town and in the cities of Malaybalay and Valencia. (BukidnonNews.Net)
